resonance_and_dFandom: Kingdom Hearts/ Avatar the Last Airbender
Summary: In which there is a misunderstanding, and Disney villains come looking for a Princess of Heart in the Fire Nation. Crack fic!
They came for Azula in her sleep, and she was all the way in a different world by the time she woke up and got her bearings.
She hadn't known that there were other worlds. But now she'd been kidnapped and brought to one, and the most galling thing was how seriously incompetent her kidnappers were. Did they seriously think that the princess of the Fire Nation wouldn't have training on how to deal with kidnappers?
Once she was actually awake, it took only minutes to burn them alive. There was a stench, of course, and she wondered how long it would take to get out of her hair, and what exactly had possessed the fish-woman and the pirate to think they could defeat a princess of Sozin's line.
Of course, that left her alone. The castle she was in appeared to be deserted, apart from the monsters that leaped at her from the shadows. Those were easy enough to take care of, too, once she was expecting them.
It was hours before the rest of the kidnappers arrived, chortling among themselves and carrying some girl with strange yellowish hair and a ridiculous outfit.
“Let me go,” the girl said, struggling ineffectively.
Azula stepped in and shot lightning at closest of the kidnappers, and at the next- and then there was only one left, a tall thin woman who sneered at her and who seemed immune to fire.
“Who are you?” the woman asked.
Which was possibly the most insulting thing she could have said.
“I am Princess Azula of the Fire Nation,” Azula said, putting every ounce of royal dignity she possessed into her voice. “And I don't appreciate being taken from my bed in the middle of the night.”
The yellow-haired girl had passed out with fright at some point during the fight, Azula noted.
“They thought you were a princess of heart?” the thin woman asked. She laughed richly, and Azula wasn't sure whether to be insulted or not.
The woman leaned a little closer. “No, I know what you are.” She smiled a thin smile and said: “I seem to have lost all my help. I could use a new ally in my plans.”
Azula listened to the woman's- Maleficent's- plans.
Father would be proud when Azula brought the entire universe to its knees before the glory Fire Nation.
She would kill Maleficent later. Right now, though, she had a keyblade master to obliterate.
