resonance_and_dI kind of accidentally bleached my hair today.
I thought it was my imagination at first. So I asked British Spy.
Me: Does my hair look lighter to you?
Her: YES. WHAT DID YOU DO?
So yeah.
My other roommate dropped my hairbrush in the toilet, so I soaked it in bleach to sterilize it. I guess I didn't rinse it off well enough. Whoops.
It's kind of funny, actually, because I was talking about bleaching my hair earlier today so that I could dye it blue again. But I was going to wait until after ACEN to do it.
DAMN YOU, IRONY.
This is going to make cosplaying as Suki a little more difficult. This morning, my hair was dark blonde- just a shade lighter than brown. Now it's much lighter than that in places. I think if I get a haircut I might be able to get rid of the worst of it, though.
Speaking of cosplaying, my Suki costume is coming along quite well.
Skirt: Done, though I might rip out the seam a little and put in a slit because it restricts my movement a bit
Fans: I'm in the process of gluing metal on to the one fan I have. I might make another if I feel like blowing my budget. I did get a scholarship for next quarter...
Robe-y thing: I need to sew a lot more seams to keep things from fraying, but the main structure of it is coming along well. I'm starting to attach the sleeves.
Breastplate: Haven't started yet but I know what I'm doing
Headpiece: I don't know how to do this yet.
All of this would be much easier if I had a sewing machine. I might go to M's house over break and use hers if I can, because sewing by hand is a huge pain.
