This is a typical lunch now:
I leave math. I walk to my dorm with a group of friends, all of whom are also walking from math.
By "a group" I mean "all 30-odd people in my math class, plus hangers-on."
We scatter in the dining hall to the various lines to get food. One by one, we enter the dining hall area.
The first person locates a table that has only one or two people. They sit down. The people at the table secretly think "Oh, poor hopeless alone-sitting person."
Then the second person comes. And the third. And the tenth. And the guy who is named Yuri, who I can't talk to because I end up either feeling kind of awkward or just laughing. And a few other people.
The original people at the table leave rather quickly. The sole exception to this rule is Ninja Turtle Guy, who stayed through a giant invasion and made jokes about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and banana ice cream for half an hour. Ninja Turtle Guy is kind of awesome.
Then we all joke about how cult-like we are. It's great fun. We even have our own euphemisms!
*is fitting in! To the cult! Hazzah?*
