Spent 1 hour on the bus: -$2
Spent 45 min participating in a study +$8
Spent another hour on the bus -$2
Net gain $4 bucks, or $1.33/hour
But then I babysat for 3 hours and got another 33 bucks, so its all good. Aunt is paying me to go OCD on the house, too, so I can wash dishes and vacuum for $10/hour. (Which I would do anyway, because I am totally OCD about some things and Aunt can't manages all on her own. But I am not going to turn down money.)
I'm too helpful for my own good, though. If I would save up all the cleaning and do it at once, I'd get paid for all of it. But I end up tidying when no one is looking.
